The emteqPRO is a “laboratory in a box” able to provide comprehensive insights into emotional responses.
Our system provides a simple, all-in-one solution to track, timestamp and annotate user responses to content. Our products are available for HTC VIVE and PICO model headsets. Our system can also be used for real world exposures using our Open Face model.

EMG
The 7 channel emteqPRO EMG (electromyogram) sensors measures and records the electrical activity associated with muscle contractions from sensors prepositioned over orbicularis (eye), zygomaticus (cheek), frontalis (forehead) and corrugator muscles. The headset has multiple sensor inserts included in the box and is able to accommodate a wide range of adult head sizes. Setup is fast and effective, without the need for messy conductive gel. EmteqPRO EMG sensors are non-invasive (surface) EMG and therefore is a representation of the activity of the whole muscle.
PPG
The emteqPRO optical pulse/PPG sensors are able to estimate heart rate and heart rate derived metrics (HRV). The sensor is positioned over the forehead.
IMU
The emteqPro also boasts integrated 9DoF inertial sensing via accel, gyro, mag sensors to allow for further context if desired.
SuperVision
All signals can be measured simultaneously and in real-time with our SuperVision software. Signals are pre-processed in real-time, allowing for live monitoring of outputs.
